The Hot Room is celebrating Christmas in July! If you’ve never celebrated this wacky holiday with us before, you’re in for a treat. Literally. Aside from the decor you will have a chance to do some summer shopping with everything in the boutique boasting a 25% off discount! (Beauty Counter not included).
Since there are so many bargains to choose from I thought I’d share all the things that go into my perfect yoga bag. I’ve even checked with some of our Hot Room teachers to see what they keep in theirs!
If you’re missing any of these must haves in your bag or need to stock up on a second set to keep in your car, now’s the perfect time. Here’s the what and the why behind your perfect yoga gear bag.
Essentials for class:
- Yoga mat
- Yoga towel
- Water bottle
- Workout clothes
- Headband/hair tie (for long-haired yogis)
Essentials for after class:
- Ultima (to replenish your electrolytes)
- Dry Bag
- Change of Clothes
- And of course, the obvious: your yoga bag!
Choose from our rainbow assortment of branded THR yoga towels to wipe the sweat away and keep you planted on your mat. We also have a big order of Manduka towels on the way with 10+ beautiful designs.
As far as mats go, we carry Manduka’s top of the line gear in a few main styles: Pro-Mat, Prolite, and Ekolite and EkoSuperlite.
You can even get your yoga mat and towel rolled into one with our Waymats (also offered in rainbow hues).
The dry bags keep your sweaty clothes from getting everything else in your bag sweaty. If you like to shower at the studio after class or have a while before you get your workout wear home, this keeps the stink to a minimum. Beyond just your yoga clothes, these dry bags are perfect for outdoor water activities like kayaking or canoeing to protect your cell phone or camera from the water! It’s even big enough to fit your favorite book when you hit the pool this summer.
What about your actual yoga outfit? You already know you’re spoiled for options there. Here’s a few outfits from the hundreds you could assemble in our boutique, in both men’s and women’s styles.
Once you’re ready to leave the studio we can get you dressed for any occasion, whether you’re going on a date, running errands, or going straight to bed (as I love to do after an evening Yin class).
Now you may be questioning how all this fits in one bag. Not to worry! I tested them all out to prove we’re a one stop shop for all your yoga needs.
Haute Shore will hook you up with their summer styles. This pink tote will fit your mat standing up plus everything else in this photo with room to spare, (mannequin not included!) Don’t believe me? See for yourself!
If you’re a Waymat fan and have your towel and mat already set with a carrying strap to boot, you’d be fine with that this smaller Haute Shore purse.
Our Vooray duffels are so spacious you can even fit a Promat inside – our largest style – and zip it shut. Not to mention your water bottle, yoga outfit, change of clothes, and towel. I can’t guarantee you won’t get strange looks if you stuff that pocket full but it’s worth it for the storage. The EkoSuperlite mats can also fold up to fit in smaller bags which makes it a perfect mat for frequent travelers.
Finally, we have our THR bag which doesn’t look like it could fit everything but is deceptively roomy. Rep your favorite Hot Yoga & Pilates studio while you’re on your way to class and back, knowing you’ve got everything you need inside.
Run a quick inventory on your yoga back and see what you’re missing. Then hit our Uptown or Downtown boutique to stock up this July while everything is 25% off. The sale ends on July 25th and in the true spirit of the holidays, there’s a few special discounts and surprises in store for Summer’s Christmas Eve on the 24th. Christmas in July has never been sweeter (or sweatier!)
