It’s hard to believe we are approaching the halfway point of the Six-Week Spark Wellness challenge. We have so many members working hard daily to adopt new healthy habits. The energy and enthusiasm in the studio, and on our group Facebook page, is nothing short of amazing. This group accepted the challenge on Day 1 and haven’t looked back. Is it easy? No, but they are supporting each other and holding each other accountable to stay on the plan.

During our first three weeks we focused on hydration, eliminating sugary foods and better sleep habits. In just a few days of  the challenge many, Spark participants noticed positive changes in their body when they focused solely on hydration. Curious about those changes? Read on to find out.

“I’m drinking less coffee! Focusing on hydration made me uncover how terrible my caffeine habit is. I actually feel more alert when I focus on drinking 32 ounces of water before coffee, and now I am satisfied with just 8 ounces of coffee.”

That’s right! Less coffee. Just by making a simple habit change, many of our Spark participants identified other habits that were directly related to poor hydration. By focusing on our daily emails and education, several of our challengers were empowered to make better decisions with their habits beyond hydration. Many reduced their caffeine intake, and that’s a huge win.

Another challenger commented about how their workouts are better and they are experiencing less pain in their body. Proper hydration is one of the most important aspects of a healthy lifestyle. Drinking the right amount of fluids before, during and after physical activity, as well as throughout the day, is vital to providing your body the fluids it needs to perform properly. Many of us are busy and don’t prioritize or realize how important hydration really is for the body. Read what this challenger had to say once they made hydration a priority.

“I’m getting better at identifying the feeling of being properly hydrated. It used to be a “sometimes” thing, and now it’s more frequent. It’s hard to describe what that feeling is exactly, but in general it’s my body feeling better. My workouts are better, my food was more satisfying and I felt less pain in my body.”

Simplifying our health journey by participating in the Six-Week Spark keeps it simple. It allows the challengers to focus on one habit at a time so they can truly identify with the positive changes in their body. We all want to be stronger and live longer. We also love to look good, but more importantly we want to FEEL good, and the Six-Week Spark is doing just that for so many.

The next time you see a Spark challenger in the studio, ask them how they feel. I promise you will want to sign up the next time we offer this wellness program. In the meantime, follow along for more progress updates with the Spark challengers.

I also challenge you to check in with your hydration. Are you drinking at minimum 8 – 10 glasses of water each day?
