Located in, Puerto Morelos, a quiet fishing village on the Riviera Maya. The quiet village and beautiful beaches along with the intimate lodging makes for the perfect spot to sweat, stretch, transform and restore.

Casa Om features 10 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a pool, a koi pond, 3 kitchens, and a 1000 square foot yoga room suitable for all types of yoga including hot yoga. They offer a full gourmet kitchen. All dishes are prepared with a healthy yogic lifestyle in mind, including gluten free and vegan options. The head chef, Eduardo, is a former restaurateur; he brings more than 10 years of professional cooking experience to Casa Om. He is passionate about food and his cooking classes are a favorite!

There are lots of restaurants to choose from within walking distance for the nights we don’t have dinner and to grab lunch or snacks.


The Hot Room will take the following steps in collaboration with our guests and Casa Om staff to ensure the health and safety of all. 

  • We will require proof of a negative COVID-19 test result within 5 days of date of departure. 
  • Guests and staff will have their temperatures taken upon arrival and each day of the retreat.   
  • Everyone travelling solo will have their own private bedroom and bathroom (couples/family members/friends may share rooms).   
  • Casa Om staff will wear face masks during their work shifts. Guests should wear face masks in indoor common areas except in the yoga room.   
  • All meals will be individually plated (not served buffet style).   
  • Casa Om staff and guests will practice social distancing (meals can be served spread out throughout the property; all yogis will practice at least 6 feet apart).   
  • We ask that yogis breathe in and out of the nose during class.   
  • Everyone will be designated one yoga mat during the retreat to avoid sharing. All mats will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each use.  
  • Hygiene is top priority: hand soap and antibacterial gels will be readily available in all bathrooms/bedrooms and communal areas.

When is payment due?

Payment is due in full 30 days before the date of departure, unless otherwise specified by THR. Payment plans may be set up with payments charged on the 1st and 15th of the month. A $500 deposit must be paid to reserve your spot and set up a payment plan. Space is limited, and reservations will be based upon dates deposits are received. If registrations exceed space available, priority will be given by registration deposit received date. We reserve the right to cancel the trip if it is not meeting the trip minimum and your deposit is returned. Trip cancellation insurance is always recommended. 

Can I use the deposit or payments I’ve made on another retreat towards this one?

Yes! If you have a retreat balance with us, we can apply any part towards the cost of this retreat. Please keep in mind you may lose your place in a future retreat if you transfer the deposit to this one.  

Can I use my Ultimate Plus & Ultimate Membership Retreat Credit?

Yes! Ultimate Plus members may use up to $300 of their yearly retreat credit and Ultimate members may use up to $200 of their yearly retreat credit. 

What if The Hot Room postpones the retreat?

The Hot Room will notify retreat guests immediately if a retreat must be postponed due to travel restrictions or if the minimum registration isn’t met. The retreat will be moved to a later date at least 4-6 months out to allow guests to make their arrangements to attend.  

What if I need to cancel due to a positive COVID-19 test result?

In the event that you are not able to attend the retreat, The Hot Room will apply any payments you have made towards a future retreat. You will always have priority for retreat registration. 

What should I do to prepare for the retreat?

We ask that you avoid large gatherings for two weeks prior to the retreat, maintain social distancing, wear a face mask, wash hands often, avoid touching your face, nose and mouth and use hand sanitizer frequently. Plan for a COVID-19 test that will give you results within 5 days of your departure for the retreat.  

Do I need a passport?

Yes, a passport is needed for travel to Mexico. Please check that your passport is not expired! Expedited services are not available currently for passport renewals. Be sure that yours is up to date.  

What should I do after the retreat?

Plan to get tested for COVID-19 when you arrive back in the United States. Avoid large gatherings until you receive your test results. Maintain social distancing, wear a face mask, wash hands often, avoid touching your face, nose and mouth and use hand sanitizer frequently. Look for symptoms of Coronavirus and stay home if you are sick.  

Are there any travel restrictions in place for Indiana and Illinois residents traveling to Mexico?

As of September 9, 2020, Illinois & Indiana have not issued any travel restrictions. 

As of September 9, 2020 the U.S. State Department has not issued any travel restrictions to Mexico.  


Is the pool open at Casa Om?

Yes it is! We will practice social distancing in the pool area just as we do throughout Casa Om.  

What is the safest way to travel by air?

Book your flight on an airline that has the safest COVID-19 protocols in place. Delta, Southwest & JetBlue all leave the middle seat open, disinfect regularly and maintain social-distancing in the check-in and boarding process. All airlines require a face mask. The Hot Room will provide you with a travel kit before departure that includes an N-95 mask, sanitation wipes, hand sanitizer & gloves.   

Wear your mask while in transit to the airport, during check-in and on the plane. Use sanitation wipes to clean the high-touch areas around your seat. Wash your hands and use hand sanitizer frequently.  

When should I book my flights to arrive and depart?

All arrivals to the Cancun airport shall arrive between 1 PM and 5 PM on Sunday. All Departures shall occur from Cancun Airport on Saturday between 10 AM and 2 PM. 

Is airport transfer included?

Yes, your transfer to and from Casa Om is included in the price of the retreat. Only people traveling together or rooming together will share rides.  

Will we be in Mexico on Election Day?

Do I need travel insurance?

It is highly recommended that you purchase travel insurance and choose a “Cancel for Any Reason” add-on which you can purchase from some insurance providers when buying specific plans. By paying extra for this coverage, you can cancel for any reason under the sun as long as you follow the policies’ purchase and cancel stipulations. Here’s a great article on this add-on and what it does and doesn’t cover.

What if I need to get tested for COVID-19 while on the retreat?

Costa Med Hospital in Puerto Morelos has rapid result test (24 hours) available for $239. Check your health insurance or travel insurance policy to see if they cover testing outside of the U.S.  

What if I test positive for COVID-19 while on the retreat?

One room at Casa Om has been reserved should you need to quarantine. If you are experiencing symptoms, it is advised that you stay in quarantine until 24 hours after your symptoms disappear. If you are not experiencing symptoms, it is advised that you take extra care with all safety protocols and social distancing when traveling home. 

What protocols are in place to ensure social distancing on the retreat?

Guests will be invited to take their meals throughout the retreat center to ensure social distancing. There are several common areas with ample seating. Mats in the hot room will be placed 3-6 feet away from each other.

What protocols are in place to ensure safety for healing therapies?

The therapists will thoroughly sanitize the massage room before and after each guest, wash their hands frequently and wear a facemask. Bed sheets and towels are replaced after each guest.  

Where is the Riviera Maya?

The Riviera Maya runs along the Caribbean coastline of the state of Quintana Roo. It begins 20 miles south of Cancun in the town of Puerto Morelos, where Casa Om is located. Puerto Morelos is a small town with very few tourists. You will live like a local, enjoy consistent sunshine and warm temperatures in Puerto Morelos.  

Is Puerto Morelos a safe place to visit right now?

Quintana Roo is generally a safe place to travel. Petty theft can occur but we always encourage our guests to exercise caution, travel in groups and be careful about displaying wealth. The U.S. State Department currently has no travel restrictions in place for visiting Quintana Roo. 

Are businesses open in Puerto Morelos?

Yes. There is an open-air beach bar right across the street from Casa Om that serves snacks and drinks daily. Some restaurants and shops are open.  

What else will we do besides yoga on the retreat?

Right off the coast of Puerto Morelos is one of the largest coral reefs in the world with amazing views for snorkeling. The water is clear and calm, perfect for stand-up paddleboarding. About 30 minutes away there are cenotes, or underground rivers, that are perfect for swimming and exploring. You can enjoy hiking and zip-lining at the cenotes as well.  

Casa Om has amazing healing therapists on staff for you to reserve time for massages and energetic readings. There is always something to do each day or you can use the time for lounging on the beach or by the pool.  

Does Casa Om serve alcohol?

Casa Om is a clean space. No Smoking, No Drugs, No Alcohol, No Meat, No Fish. 

What protocols are in place for cleaning and sanitation at Casa Om?

Shoes will be disinfected at the door upon entering Casa Om. Cleaning staff will wear masks and gloves and sanitize high-touch areas throughout the day. A disinfecting spray will be used throughout Casa Om in the hot room, common spaces, guest rooms and the massage room.  

Casa Om staff will wear gloves and masks. They will clean your room daily or as often as you’d like.  

Does Casa Om provide laundry service?

At this time, they are not providing laundry service for yoga clothes. We recommend you bring a liquid detergent to hand wash your clothes in cold water in your room.  

Does Casa Om provide yoga towels?

Yes, there will be clean towels available for your mat for each class.
